1. Introduction

Fix My Ride ("the App") is developed, owned, and operated by Akshat Srivastava ("the Developer," "I," "Me," or "We").

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. By creating an account, uploading images, or using the App, you explicitly agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, you must delete your account and uninstall the App immediately.

SUMMARY OF LIABILITY: The Developer assumes ZERO LIABILITY for any data loss, data breach, unauthorized access, or misuse of your personal information. You use this App and provide data entirely at your own risk.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide the App's functionality:

2.1. Personal Information

  • Account Data: When you sign up, we collect your Full Name and Email Address.
  • Verification: We process your email verification status to grant access to the App.
  • User Content: We collect and store the Profile Images you voluntarily upload.

2.2. Device and Technical Information

  • FCM Tokens: We collect Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens to send you notifications.
  • Device Details: We may collect information about your device model (e.g., iPhone 15), OS version, and network status to ensure App stability.

3. User Responsibility for Data Correctness

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your data.

The Developer is not responsible if you provide a wrong email address, incorrect name, or upload the wrong image.

You acknowledge that any errors in the data you provide (e.g., wrong emergency contact numbers saved in Favourites) may lead to critical failures during emergencies. The Developer bears no liability for such errors.

4. Profile Images and Media

4.1. Storage and Visibility

  • Storage: Profile images are stored in Firebase Storage.
  • Developer Access: You explicitly acknowledge that the Developer has full access to view, download, and modify these images.
  • Public Access: Under normal app functioning, your profile image is visible only to you and the Developer. It is not publicly accessible to other users or third parties.

4.2. Image Leaks and Exclusivity

  • No Exclusivity Guarantee: If you upload an image to Fix My Ride, and you subsequently find that image on another platform, website, or database, the Developer is NOT RESPONSIBLE.
  • Security Bypasses: While we utilize standard Firebase security rules, if a third party bypasses these securities, exploits a vulnerability, or hacks the database to access your images, the Developer is NOT LIABLE for any resulting damages, loss of privacy, or reputation.

5. Content Moderation and Developer Rights

The Developer acts as the sole authority regarding user accounts.

5.1. NSFW and Inappropriate Content

The Developer has the absolute right to review your Name, Email, and Profile Image. If the Developer, at their sole discretion, determines that your content is:

  • NSFW (Not Safe For Work) / Pornographic;
  • Offensive, hateful, or abusive;
  • Fake or misleading;

The Developer reserves the unrestricted right to:

  • Delete the offensive image or content immediately without notice.
  • Modify your account details (e.g., change your name to "User").
  • Suspend or Terminate your account permanently.

5.2. Data Modification

You agree that the Developer may alter, delete, or reset your data on the server side at any time for maintenance or moderation purposes. You have no right to object to these changes.

6. Advertising (AdMob)

To support the development costs, this App integrates Google AdMob to display advertisements.

  • Data Sharing: We do not voluntarily send your personal data (Name, Email, Phone) to AdMob.
  • Tracking: Google AdMob uses its own tracking technologies (Cookies, Advertising IDs) to collect data about your browsing history and interests.
  • Targeted Ads: If you see an advertisement related to your browsing history (e.g., a product you searched for on a different site), this is solely controlled by Google's algorithms.
  • No Liability: The Developer is not responsible for the content of the ads, the products advertised, or any data collected by Google.

7. Data Security and Breaches

The App uses Firebase (a Google service) for backend infrastructure.

  • "As Is" Security: We implement security measures on a "best effort" basis. We do not guarantee that your data is 100% secure.
  • Data Breaches: In the event of a data breach, server hack, or Firebase vulnerability where your data (Email, Name, Images) is leaked, stolen, or made public, the Developer is strictly NOT LIABLE for any damages, financial loss, or mental distress caused.

8. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our App (e.g., Google Firebase), so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

9. Zero Liability Clause

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that the Developer is NOT LIABLE for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • The loss or corruption of your data (photos, contacts, logs).
  • Any unauthorized access to your account.
  • Any actions taken by the Developer to moderate, ban, or delete your account.
  • Any bugs, crashes, or software failures that cause data loss.
